Coupeville pair places at league meet | Track

Coupeville's Jai'Lysa Hoskins and Nick Streubel both placed in the opening day of the Cascade Conference track meet at Cedarcrest Wednesday, May 9.

Hoskins nabbed fifth in the high jump (4-06) and Streubel sixth in the discus (116-11).

Four events held finals as most of the day was committed to preliminaries for Friday's (3:30 p.m.) second portion of the meet.

For the boys, Sam Landau finished 23rd in the 1,600 (5:19.24), Caleb Valko 15th in the discus (93-10) and Stephen Edwards 15th in the long jump (16-03.5).

For the girls, Megan Oakes ran 21st in the 1,600 (7:06.29) and Grace LaPoint placed 13th in the discus (76-07).
