Wildcats ousted in 1st round | Tennis

All four of Oak Harbor High School's entries in the sub-district tennis tournament lost in the first round and were eliminated Tuesday, May 8, at Jackson High School in Mill Creek.

In singles, Alexa Holmly lost a pair of 6-0 sets to Shorewood's Genevieve O'Malley, and Shannon Neilon fell 1-6, 1-6 to Shorecrest's Jenny Sui.

In doubles, Jennifer Fremd and Chelsey McKenzie were edged 2-6, 7-5, 5-7 by Emme Davis and Bri Rosales of Glacier Peak; and Molly Van Dam and Rachelle Muzones won their first set 6-2 before losing 1-6, 0-6 to Emily Olson and Amber Smith of Everett.
