Wildcats lose finale | Tennis

The Oak Harbor tennis team closed out the regular season with a 5-2 loss to visiting Glacier Peak Monday, May 7.

Oak Harbor (3-13) received wins from second singles Shannon Neilon (6-3, 6-3) and first doubles Jennifer Fremd and Chelsey McKenzie (6-2, 7-5) against the Grizzlies (11-4).

The Wildcats now advance to the subdistrict tournament at Jackson Tuesday through Thursday, May 8 to 10.

Other results:

Singles: 1, Alexa Holmly lost 1-6, 1-6; 3, Laticia Salvadov lost 1-6, 1-6; 4, Brittany Rigby lost 0-6, 0-6.

Doubles: 2, Molly Van Dam/McKenzie Scheider lost 5-7, 1-6; 3, Rachelle Muzones/Joyce Abides lost 4-6, 4-6.
