Emily Hunt pitched a three-hit shutout and the Wildcat offense picked up in the second half of the game as the Oak Harbor fastpitch team knocked off visiting Marysville Getchell 5-0 Saturday, May 5.

Hunt struck out three and walked five while blanking the Chargers (0-13, 1-16).

Morgan Young guided the offense with two hits, three RBI and two runs.

She got the offense going in the fourth inning, leading off with a single and eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly by Kelsey Rankin.

With one out in the fifth, Oak Harbor erupted for four runs. McKenzie DeMarsh started the uprising with her second single of the day. NIkki Vogt and Marissa Fakkema each singled to load the bases.

After a pop out, Young's single was misplayed in the outfield and three runs scored. Shawna Steele then drove in Young with a base hit.

Oak Harbor (2-11, 4-13) hosts Shorewood (3-10, 3-14) Monday, May 7, at 3:30 p.m. when the teams continue a 7-7 game that was suspended in the eighth inning April 11 because of rain.  Following the completion of that game, the two games will start a new game.

The Wildcats finish the season at Glacier Peak (8-4, 11-5) at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 9.
