Oak Harbor drops match to Shorewood | Tennis

Molly Van Dam and McKenzie Schneider's win in first doubles earned Oak Harbor's only point in a 6-1 loss to second-place Shorewood at Shoreline Park Monday, April 30.

Van Dam and Schneider battled to a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win.

Oak Harbor (3-11) returns to Shoreline Park to face first-place Shorecrest (11-1) at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, and then finishes the regular season at home with Glacier Peak (9-3) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3.

Singles: 1, Alexa Holmly lost 2-6, 4-6; 2, Shannon Neilon lost 0-6, 1-6; 3, Jennifer Fremd lost 3-6, 2-6; 4, Chelsey McKenzie lost 3-6, 2-6.

Doubles: 2, Rachelle Muzones/Joyce Abides lost 4-6, 6-3, 3-6; 3, Jenny Landingin/Stephanie Milliron lost 4-6, 6-7(5).
