Pelroy paces Wolves with 3 wins | Track

Mitch Pelroy won three events to pace the Coupeville track squad in a three-team meet at Lakewood Thursday, April 26.

Lakewood won the boys meet with 109 points, and Sultan edged Coupeville 37-31. Sultan, with 82.66 points, took the girls meet over Lakewood (77.33) and Coupeville (22).

Pelroy dominated the sprints, winning the 100 (11.73), 200 (24.18) and 400 (52.4).

Madison Tisa-McPhee (100 hurdles, 17.6), Anna Bailey (400, 1:09.57) and the 4x400 relay team of Tisa-McPhee, Marisa Etzell, Cassidi Rosenkrance and Grace LaPoint (4:32.05) earned wins for the Coupeville girls.

Thursday, May 3, at 4 p.m. the Wolves and Granite Falls go to South Whidbey for the final regular season meet.

Third, boys: Hurlburt, 400, 53.94; Hampton, 800, 2:19.18; Nick Streubel, shot, 38-01.5, discus, 114-06; 4x100 relay, Hampton, Shawn Kump, Sam Landau, Brandon Kelley, 55.58.

Third, girls: Jai'Lysa Hoskins, long jump, 13-09; 4x100 relay, Nicole Becker, Joye Jackson, Rachel Wenzel, Emma Matthys, 1:01.04.

Fourth, boys: Hurlburt, 100, 12.23; Landau, 3,200, 12:21.2.

Fourth, girls: Hoskins, 100, 14.24; Megan Oakes, 1,600, 7:08.9.
