Wildcats edged by Everett | Tennis

Visiting Everett snuck by the Oak Harbor tennis team 4-3 Friday, April 13.

While the team score was close, all of the matches were won in straight sets, often by one-sided scores.

Oak Harbor earned wins from Jennifer Fremd (third singles, 6-2, 6-4); Chelsey McKenzie (fourth singles, 6-1, 6-3); and Molly Van Dam and Kyla McKinney (second doubles, 6-7[7], 6-0).

The Wildcats (2-7) journey to Lynnwood (2-6) Monday, April 16, and then entertain Meadowdale (2-6) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Other Oak Harbor results versus Everett:

Singles: 1, Alexa Holmly lost 0-6, 0-6; 2, Shannon Neilon lost 0-6, 0-6.

Doubles: 1, Rachelle Muzones/Joyce Abides lost 0-6, 2-6; 3, Jenny Landingin/Stephanie Milliron lost 4-6, 1-6.
