Former Wildcat wrestler earns invitation to Olympic trials

Former Oak Harbor High School wrestler Sydney Nelson has qualified for the Olympic trials.

Nelson, who placed second in the state tournament as an OHHS sophomore in 2007, earned the invitation to the April 21 and 22 trials by finishing second in the National Wrestling Coaches Association tournament in January.

Nelson moved to Georgia after her sophomore year at Oak Harbor High School and went on to wrestle for the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ken.
