Grizzlies defeat Oak Harbor | Tennis

Glacier Peak pulled out wins in a handful of close sets to defeat the Oak Harbor tennis team 6-1 in Snohomish Tuesday, April 10.

Oak Harbor's match at Mountlake Terrace Wednesday was rained out and will be played Tuesday, April 25.

Against Glacier Peak, Molly Van Dam and McKenzie Schneider earned the Wildcats' win in first doubles (6-2, 7-6[4]).

The Wildcats (2-5) finish up a busy week with home matches at 3:30 against Shorecrest (7-1) Thursday and Everett (4-3) Friday.

Other Oak Harbor results versus Glacier Peak:

Singles: 1, Alexa Holmly lost 0-6, 0-6; 2, Shannon Neilon lost 1-6, 5-7; 3, Jennifer Fremd lost 4-6, 6-3, 3-6; 4, Chelsey McKenzie lost 1-6, 5-7.

Doubles: 2, Rachelle Muzones/Joyce Abides lost 2-6, 4-6; 3, Jenny Langingin/Stephanie Milliron lost 4-6, 4-6.
