An uneven performance resulted in a 4-0 loss for the Oak Harbor soccer team at Everett Wednesday, April 4.

"We did not play well; it's that simple," said Oak Harbor coach Brian Thompson.

Thompson said fatigue from a tough game with Shorewood and players missing because of spring break could be causes for the the poor play, "but we can only put the blame for this loss in two places, our mistakes and Everett's players for playing a better game."

He added, "We now have the opportunity to start the second half of the season and come back with the wins I know we should have gotten the first time. We, as coaches, enjoy our players and the game and will continue to look forward and not to the past."

Everett raised its record to 3-5.

Oak Harbor (0-7-1) plays Shorecrest (3-1-3) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Wildcat Memorial Stadium.
