Wildcats topple Marysville Getchell | Tennis

Getting all of its points in straight-set wins, the Oak Harbor tennis team won 5-2 at Marysville Getchell Friday, March 23.
Now that Oak Harbor (2-3) has pushed aside the last-place Chargers (0-5), it hosts the team at the other end of the Wesco standings, first-place Shorewood (5-0) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28.
The Wildcats easily won all three doubles matches at Getchell: 1, Molly Van Dam/McKenzie Schneider, 6-1, 6-1; 2, Rachelle Muzones/Joyce Abides, 6-1, 6-2; 3, Jenny Landingin/Stephanie Milliron, 6-4, 6-2.
Chelsey McKenzie took third singles 6-0, 6-1; and Kyla McKinney, in her fourth singles debut, eked out a 7-6(5), 7-6(5) win.
Alexa Holmly was edged in first singles 6-3, 1-6, 4-6; and Shannon Neilon lost 1-6, 3-6 in second singles.
