The Oak Harbor High School wrestling team steamrolled Mountlake Terrace 72-3 and edged host Meadowdale 47-24 Tuesday, Jan. 24.

In the big win over Terrace (0-6, 0-9), Christian Bertram (113 pounds), Mark Johnston (132), Ryuta Meany (138), Nathanael Stanford (145), Collin Higingbotham (170) and Jacob Dugin (220) all won by falls.

Other winners were Jeremy Vester (106) 6-1 and Joshua Crebbin (152) 7-1. Oak Harbor also received five forfeits.

Winners against Meadowdale (2-2, 3-6) were Jahleel Vester (120, fall), Cody Fakkema (126, 15-0), Johnston (fall), Crebbin (fall), David Payne (160, 6-5), Higingbotham (10-7), Dugin (fall), Bertram (106, forfeit) and Jeremy Vester (113, forfeit).

Coach Mike Crebbin said Payne came from three points down to record an important win that "kept the momentum in our favor."

Higingbotham also earned a comeback win, according to Crebbin, and Dugin "continues to improve as a varsity wrestler, getting the pin and ensuring the team victory."

Oak Harbor (6-1, 14-2) wraps up the regular season at home with Marysville Getchell (3-2, 6-8) Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m.
