Royals roll by Wildcats | Girls basketball

Lynnwood stayed in the hunt for the Wesco 3A girls basketball title by running by host Oak Harbor 44-26 Saturday, Jan. 21.
The Royals upped their record to 9-2 (11-3), a half-game behind Shorecrest in the race for first. Oak Harbor fell to 1-9 (2-12).
Lynnwood took a 10-point lead, 14-4, in the first quarter, then slightly built upon its advantage for 26-12 and 31-17 leads after the second and third quarters.
No one scored in double figures in the game, with Lynnwood's Jasmin Edwards and Linda Wilson getting nine points each.
Annie Leete and Ciera Wiser had eight points for Oak Harbor, while Kelsey Rankin added six, Marissa Lewis two and Rayan Russell two.
The Wildcats entertain Everett (7-4, 10-5) Monday, Jan. 23, at 7:15 p.m.
