South Whidbey employed a menacing pressure defense in the first half that led to a 68-38 win over the visiting Coupeville High School boys basketball team Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The Falcons' full-court press helped them go up 10-6 and 33-14 the first two quarters, and they upped the margin to 48-22 heading into the final frame.

Coupeville found its offensive rhythm in the last period, scoring 16 points.

Overall, Gavin O'Keefe led the Wolves with 12 points. Mitch Pelroy, returning after missing several games with an illness, added 11. Nick Streubel had six, Aaron Curtin five and Taylor Ebersole four.
