The Jepsen brothers, Jacob and Josh, will propel this year’s Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team.

Senior Jacob placed in the top 10 in two individual events at last year’s state meet, finishing ninth in the 100 backstroke and 10th in the 200 individual medley, while junior Josh was 13th in the IM.

The pair also swam together on two state-placing relay teams, taking sixth in the 200 medley relay and ninth in the 200 freestyle relay.

Sophomore Caley Powers, another state participant, will return later this season after recovering from a leg injury.

Five other Wildcats with district-meet experience return: senior David Kusnick, junior John Kaltenbach and sophomores Ryan Cuajunco, Kevin Levy and Jeron Kosbar.

Oak Harbor travels to Lake Stevens Thursday, Dec. 1, at 3:15 to start the season.

The first home meet is Monday, Dec. 12, with Everett at 6 p.m.
