Oak Harbor High School graduate Rodrick Rumble, now playing football for Idaho State University, has been added to the Walter Payton Award watch list.
Rumble, a wide receiver, is having a record-breaking year for the Bengals. He has set an ISU season reception yardage record and broke the Big Sky Conference reception record. With one game remaining, Rumble has 98 catches for 1.224 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Sports Network established the Walter Payton Player of the Year Award in 1987, and it is presented annually to the most outstanding college football player on the FCS level.
