Coupeville's Nathan Lamb lost twice and was eliminated at the 1A tri-district singles tennis tournament Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Amy Yee Tennis Center in Seattle.

Lamb, a junior, dropped his opening match to Bayard Blair of University Prep 1-6, 0-6.

In round two, Lamb lost to familiar foe Sandro Meyer of Friday Harbor 2-6, 1-6. Lamb defeated Meyer for the district title as the pair split four matches earlier this spring.

This was Lamb's third consecutive trip to tri-district; he qualified in the past in doubles competition.

Coach Ken Stange said, "Tough day, but we are already looking to next year."
