Third-ranked Everett wrapped up the Wesco title by defeating host Oak Harbor 10-0 in the regular-season finale Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The Seagulls (15-0-1) are "the real deal," according to Wildcat coach Jeff Laiblin; they have "speed, strength and size."
Oak Harbor, missing five players because of injuries, tried a "defensive style at first," Laiblin said. In the second half the 'Cats tried to "push forward but ended up giving up some ugly goals," he added.
It was tough season for Oak Harbor (0-13-3), but the future looks promising, Laiblin said, as his club loses only three players to graduation.
