Wildcats win 1 of 3 at Kamiak | Swimming

The Oak Harbor swim and dive team won one of three matches in a triple dual meet at Kamiak Thursday, Oct. 20.

The Wildcats defeated Everett 139-41, but lost to Kamiak 112-79 and to Jackson 96-84.

Oak Harbor finished the regular season 7-6 and takes part in the district meet at Marysville-Pilchuck High School Nov. 4 and 5.

Ciara Hu collected Oak Harbor's only win in the four-team meet, taking the 200-yard individual medley in a state-qualifying time of 2:17. She also hit a state mark in finishing second in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.93.

The Wildcats picked up seconds from Irysh Concepcion (200 free, 2:13.09; 100 free, 58.99), Karina Concepcion (50 free, 26.28), Angela Johnson (diving, 94.55) and the 200 free relay team (Karina Concepcion, Therese Desquitado, Hu and Johnson, 1:47.81).

Third: Karina Concepcion, 100 back, 1:04.55; 200 medley relay, Karina Concepcion, Olivia Meyer, Hu, Johnson, 2:02.4.

Fourth: Rachelle Muzones, diving, 82.9; Meyer, 100 fly, 1:04.57, 100 breast, 1:17.8; 400 free relay, Irysh Concepcion, Desquitado, Meyer, Mollie Briddell, 4:12.81.

Fifth: Johnson, 50 free, 28.03; Desquitado, 100 free, 1:01.13, 100 back, 1:08.63; Nicole Vogt, 500 free, 6:07.28; 200 medley relay, Briddell, Tricia Desquitado, Vogt, Irysh Concepcion, 2:10.17.

Sixth: Briddell, 200 free, 2:17.39; Danae Nash, 500 free, 6:37.03; 400 free relay, Leanne Empinado, Vogt, Nash, Tricia Desquitado, 4:48.87.

Seventh: Tricia Desquitado, 200 free, 2:23.83; Vogt, 200 IM, 2:38.39; Briddell, 100 back, 1:10.6; 200 free relay, Empinado, Sarah Baxter, Carmen Moreno, Nash, 2:12.84.

Eighth: Tricia Desquitado, 100 breast, 1:20.62.
