Oak Harbor nearly upsets Everett | Tennis

Narrowly missing an upset, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team was edged 4-3 by Everett at Lincoln Park Friday, Oct. 7.
Everett (8-5) picked up a pair of wins in both singles and doubles to avoid falling to the Wildcats (2-12).
Oak Harbor received wins from Carlos Neto Gioia 6-3, 7-5 in first singles; from Will Southard 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in third singles; and Harrison Miller and David Kusnick 3-6, 6-3, 13-11 in first doubles.
Oak Harbor hosts Meadowdale (9-2) Monday, Oct. 10, at 3:45 p.m.
Other Wildcat results versus Everett:
Singles: 2, Carter Saar lost 0-6, 1-6; 4, Eric Berner lost 4-6, 2-6.
Doubles: 2, Ben Harrison/Cameron Bester lost 2-6, 2-6; 3, Tom Dale/Zackary Akker lost 1-6, 1-6.
