Unbeaten Shorewood blanks Wildcats | Tennis

Undefeated Shorewood won its 11th straight match with a 7-0 victory over the visiting Oak Harbor tennis team Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Third doubles was the only match pushed to three sets. The Wildcats' Tom Dale and Jacob Nelson were edged 7-5, 4-6, 4-10. A super tie breaker was played in the final set because of time constraints.
The match was originally scheduled for Monday but was rained out. The Oak Harbor-Everett match slated for Wednesday, Oct. 5, was also rained out and rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, in Everett (7-5).
Oak Harbor (2-10) hosts Lynnwood (4-7) Thursday, Oct. 6, at 3:45 p.m.
Other Oak Harbor results versus Shorewood:
Singles: 1, Carlos Neto Gioia lost 1-6, 1-6; 2, Carter Saar lost 0-6, 0-6; 3, Will Southard lost 1-6, 3-6; 4, Eric Berner lost 1-6, 4-6.
Doubles: 1, Harrison Miller/Cameron Bester lost 6-7(9), 1-6; 2, Ben Harrison/Sam Glavick lost 1-6, 1-6.
