The Coupeville volleyball team broke into the win column with a 3-0 victory at Friday Harbor Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Wolves put together "three solid games," according to coach Toni Crebbin, and won 25-19, 25-16, 25-15.
Crebbin experimented with different lineups each game, but the positive results were the same in the nonleague sweep.
She said, "Despite not facing much offense, we were able to keep our intensity up. We mixed it up a lot and had the most aggressive offense we have had yet this year."
The attack was paced by Katie Smith with nine kills and two aces, Ali Trumbull drilled five kills and three aces and Taya Boonstra added 23 assists.
Crebbin said her girls "are very excited" for the next match as Coupeville (1-3) goes to island rival South Whidbey (2-1) Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Granite Falls (1-2) comes to Coupeville Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. in the next home match.
