Not all was bleak in Coupeville's 9-0 soccer loss at Archbishop Murphy Tuesday, Sept. 13.

After the Wolves allowed a goal off a bad clear in the second minute, they held the powerful Wildcats scoreless for the next 20 minutes, according to coach Mike Thornton.

Archbishop Murphy (1-0, 2-0), which has won two state titles and never finished lower than third in the last 10 years, then broke through and rushed to its win.

Thornton said, "There ware a lot of hustle plays by all the players, and seven of the goals Bishop had to work for...The new players got an introduction to the league we are going to play in."

The Wolves (0-1, 1-1) head to Cedarcrest (0-0, 2-0) Thursday, Sept. 15, at 5:15 p.m.
