Mountlake Terrace swept the doubles matches en route to defeating the Oak Harbor High School tennis team 5-2 on the Wildcats' courts Thursday, Sept. 8.

Oak Harbor (1-1) picked up its points against the Hawks (1-1) in third and fourth singles. Harrison Miller came back for a 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 win; and Will Southard swept to a 6-0, 6-2 win.

In first singles, Carter Saar fell 2-6, 6-2, 2-6; and in second singles Eric Berner lost 4-6, 4-6.

In No. 1 doubles, David Kusnick and Cameron Bester lost 2-6, 0-6. Ben Harrison and Sam Glavick were edged 3-6, 7-6(7), 5-7 in No. 2 doubles. In third doubles, Jacob Nelson and Tom Dale won the first set 6-4, but dropped the next two 2-6, 6-7(1).

Oak Harbor hosts Shorewood (2-0) Monday, Sept. 12, at 3:45 p.m.
