South Skagit stops NWLL | Softball District

The North Whidbey Little League softball team dropped its opening game of the district tournament 12-2 to South Skagit at Oak Harbor's Volunteer Park Thursday, June 30.

NWLL faces Sedro-Woolley in a loser-out game Friday, July 1, at Volunteer Park at 6 p.m.

Although NWLL gave up a dozen runs it received strong defensive plays from Sidney White, Patricia Sarns, Laura Anderson and Cierra Smith, according to official score keeper Lynn Cryer.

Mia Mertins had a hit and RBI to lead the NWLL offense.
