South Skagit pushed across seven runs in the second and third inning to take control en route to an 8-0 win over North Whidbey at the Junior League (13/14) District Tournament at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon Thursday, June 30.
A handful of South Skagit pitchers teamed up to throw a one hitter and push NWLL into a loser-out game against Central Whidbey Friday, July 1, at 5:30 p.m. at SVC.
Koby Cosper collected the lone NWLL hit.
NWLL had several chances to score but the Skagit defense came up big by throwing two runners out at the plate and two others on the bases.
