Tennis: Scots top Oak Harbor in battle for 3rd

Shorecrest won the battle for third place by defeating the visiting Oak Harbor tennis team 4-3 in the regular-season finale Monday, May 9.
The Scots (10-6, 9-5) rode a sweep of the doubles matches to grab the win.
Oak Harbor (8-7, 7-6) won three of the four singles contests.
Belen Cifuentes won in second singles 6-0, 6-2; Clarissa Abadesco took third singles 6-0, 6-4; and Jordan Faralan grabbed fourth singles 6-0, 6-1.
Cady O’Dell fell in first singles 7-6(7-1), 2-6, 0-6.
In first doubles, Alexa Holmly and Shannon Neilon lost 2-6, 0-6. Jennifer Bowers and Jennifer Fremd lost both sets 2-6 in second doubles. Molly Van Dam and Ashley Lesley were blanked 0-6, 0-6 in third doubles.
