Boys golf: Oak Harbor places 3rd in final regular season match

Finishing up the 2011 regular season, the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team placed third in a four-team match at Kenwanda Friday, April 29.
Host Glacier Peak easily won the match with 197 strokes. Lynnwood edged Oak Harbor by one stroke, 237-238, for second while Mountlake Terrace finished at 259.
Judd Ford paced the Wildcats with a 40 on the 35-par course, good for fourth overall. Greg Martin shot a 41, Caleb Knaack 49, David Bunch 53, Quinton Wallace 55 and Jake Nelson 56.
Connor Denessen of Glacier Peak was medalist at 37.
Oak Harbor will go to the Snohomish Golf Course for the Wesco 3A championship tournament Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10 and 11, at noon.
