Fastpitch: South Whidbey scores early to defeat Wolves

South Whidbey scored seven runs in the first two innings to cruise by the visiting Coupeville fastpitch team 9-2 Tuesday, April 26.
The Wolves couldn't match the Falcons' (2-9) 12-hit attack, collecting only four base hits. Haley Sherman stroked a double for Coupeville, Alexis Trumbull and Sydney Aparicio were 1-for-3 with a run, and Bessie Walstad finished 1-for-4.
Coupeville (0-10, 0-9) goes to Cedarcrest (7-4, 7-3) Friday, April 29, for a double header beginning at 3 p.m. Its next home game is Wednesday, May 4, with Archbishop Thomas Murphy (11-3, 11-2) at 4.
