Tennis: Falcons blank Wolves

South Whidbey continued its dominance over Coupeville in tennis as the Falcons blanked the visiting Wolves 5-0 Tuesday, April 26.
Coupeville needs to bounce back from the loss as it heads to Friday Harbor Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m. for the league title match with the Wolverines. Each school has won one match in the best-of-three series to determine the league champion.
In the loss to South Whidbey, Coupeville failed to win a set.
In singles, Emily Burchfield lost 4-6, 1-6; and Lexi Blanchette fell 0-6, 2-6.
In first doubles, Amanda d'Almeida and Jessica Riddle dropped the match 4-6, 4-6. Brooke Monroe and Haley Marx lost in No. 2 doubles 1-6, 1-6; and Grayson Akins and Jamie Price were blanked in third doubles 0-6, 0-6.
