A key win in first doubles helped the Oak Harbor tennis team win 4-3 at Meadowdale Friday, April 22.
A 6-2, 7-6(8) win by Shannon Neilon and Alexa Holmly proved to be the difference in the Wildcats' win.
Oak Harbor's other three team points against the Mavericks (4-6, 4-4) came in singles play as Belen Cifuentes (No. 2, 6-1, 6-0), Clarissa Abadesco (No. 3, 6-3, 6-1) and Jordan Faralan (No. 4, 6-3, 6-1) won in straight sets.
Cady O'Dell dropped the first singles match 2-6, 5-7.
In second and third doubles, the teams of Jennifer Bowers/Shoko Yamaguchi and Molly Van Dam/Jennifer Fremd both lost 1-6, 1-6.
Earlier this spring Meadowdale defeated Oak Harbor 6-1.
Oak Harbor (7-5, 6-4) does not play again until Monday, May 2, when Glacier Peak (4-6, 4-4) comes to town at 3:30 p.m.
