Track: Coupeville girls finish 3rd, boys 4th

The Coupeville girls finished third and the boys fourth in a four-team track meet at King's Thursday, April 21.

King's won the girls meet with 123 points over Archbishop Thomas Murphy (67), Coupeville (45) and Granite Falls (38).

ATM took the boys meet with 92 points, one point ahead of King's. Granite Falls had 57 points and Coupeville 24.

Kyra Ilyankoff won the shot put (32-1.75) and javelin (111-01) to pace the girls.

Jai'Lysa Hoskins took first in the 100 (13.39) and teamed with Anna Bailey, Cassidi Rosenkrance and Grace LaPoint to win the 4x400 relay (4:26.94).

Madison Tisa-McPhee captured the 100 hurdles (17.42).

Tyler King won two events for the boys (400, 52.37; 3,200, 10:18.12), and Hunter Hammer took the shot put (47-10).

The Wolves will compete at the Westling Invitational at South Whidbey High School Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m.

Other top-six finishes by Coupeville athletes Thursday:

Second (girls): Tisa-McPhee, 300 hurdles, 50.89; 4x200 relay, LaPoint, Hoskins, Nicole Becker, Bailey, 1:56.98.

Second (boys): Mitch Pelroy, 400, 53.32.

Third (girls): LaPoint, 400, 1:05.38.

Fourth (girls): Hoskins, 400, 1:07.75; LaPoint, javelin, 85-10; 4x100 relay (no names listed), 59.65.

Fourth (boys): Hammer, discus, 116; 4x100 relay, Dylan Ritchie, Chris Potts, Aaron Nell, Brandon Kelley, 53.34.

Sixth (boys): Sam Landau, 3,200, 12:3.45; 800, 2:24.21.
