Girls golf: Seniors lead Oak Harbor to win

Led by three seniors playing their final regular season match on their home course, the Oak Harbor High School girls golf team won a four-team match Thursday, April 21.
The Wildcats scored 92 Stableford points, finishing ahead of Everett (85), Lynnwood (59) and Mountlake Terrace (49).
Seniors Millie Goebel (24), Sasha Olson (20) and Mara Cortez (18) guided the 'Cats.
Annie Leete (16) and Bre Roderos (14) finished the OHHS scoring.
Coach Andy Wesley said, "Mara Cortez has really imporved her game the last two rounds she has played. I expect her to make a run at qualifying to state in three weeks."
Oak Harbor goes to the Suncadia Tournament Tuesday, April 26, and then finishes the regular season at Kenwanda with Glacier Peak, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace Wednesday, April 27, at 3 p.m.
