Everett scored three runs in the first inning and that is all the Seagulls would need in a 10-0 win over Oak Harbor in fastpitch Tuesday, April 19, at Hillcrest Elementary School.
Everett combined eight hits with four Wildcat errors, two walks and a hit batter to claim the six-inning win that enabled the Seagulls (9-2, 5-1) to move within a half game of the Wesco 3A lead.
Oak Harbor (1-10, 1-7) managed only three hits, singles by Shawna Steele, Abby Rankin and Nichelle Trumbull.
The Wildcats meet Snohomish (7-4) in a nonleague game at Hillcrest at 4 p.m. Friday, April 22.
