Track: Wildcat girls 1st, boys 2nd at Shoreline

The Oak Harbor High School girls placed first and the boys second in track action Thursday, April 7, at Shoreline Stadium.
The Wildcat girls defeated Shorecrest, Shorewood and Shoreline Christian 113-98-57-6. Shorecrest took the boys meet over Oak Harbor and Shorewood 121-79.5-60.5.
The Oak Harbor girls received firsts from Alex Laiblin (1,600 meters, 5:52.8), Abby Leete (3,200, 12:06.4), Allison Duvenez (300 hurdles, 48.81), Janelle Yoshimoto (javelin, 101-02), Janessa Ramos (long jump, 15-10.5), 4x100 relay (Sam Hawkins, Ramos, Yoshimoto, Christina Alexander, 51.79) and the 4x400 relay (Christina Wicker, Jember Jansen, Duvenez, Maura McKole, 3:05).
Winners for the boys were Josiah Miller (200, 22.92), Matt Reith (3,200, 10:39.61) and the 4x400 relay (Noel Cheeseboro, Chris Opdyke, Mike Kincy, Carlton Johnson, 2:22.92).
Oak Harbor and Coupeville compete at the Birger Solberg Invitational Saturday, April 9, in Bellingham at 10 a.m.
