Oak Harbor graduates earn all-American honors in swimming

Oak Harbor graduates John Hu and Evan Wilson, swimming for the Stevens Institute of Technology, earned all-American honors while placing at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships March 23 to 26 in Knoxville.

The pair helped Stevens of Hoboken, N.J., to 14th in the team standings with 86 points, the best in school history.

Hu placed fifth in the 400 individual medley and sixth in the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley. He set school records in the 200 IM (1:50.72) and 400 IM (3:55.21).

Wilson placed eighth in the 400 individual medley, 15th in the 1,650 freestyle and 18th in the 200 individual medley.

Both swam legs on the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay teams which finished 14th and 16th. The 800 team set a school record (6:49.95).
