Arlington remained undefeated as it stopped the visiting Oak Harbor High School fastpitch team 11-0 in six innings in a nonleague game Monday, March 21.
The Eagles' pitcher Lindsay Amundson did not overpower the Wildcats, recording just three strikeouts, but the "balls weren't dropping in" for the Oak Harbor hitters, according to coach Jess Weikle.
The Wildcats (1-2) collected only four hits, two, including a double, by Amanda Pavey. Emily Hunt and Samm Zimmerman rapped singles.
Arlington (3-0), which had 10 hits, "just beat us," Weikle said.
The Wildcats travel to Glacier Peak (1-1) Thursday, March 24, and host Lynnwood (1-1) Friday at 4 p.m.
