Two days after Coupeville's Alex McClain no-hit Nooksack Valley, the Wolves suffered through a no-hitter at the hands of Cedarcrest's Nick Gagner.

Gagner and the Timber Wolves defeating host Coupeville 12-0 in five innings Monday, March 21.

Paul Wilen hit two home runs to power the Cedarcrest attack.

Coupeville coach Willie Smith said Cedarcrest "hit the heck out of the ball."

Smith said Gagner did not overpower them (five strike outs), and he was disappointed in his club's offense and its "approach at the plate."

The Wolves (1-2, 0-1) go to Cedarcrest (3-1, 3-0) Wednesday, March 23, at 4 p.m. and Concrete Friday, March 25. The Concrete game is a make-up game for the March 12 rainout.
