Price, Ciara Hu lead NWAC

North Whidbey Aquatic Club's Price Hu recorded six personal bests in six events and his sister Ciara Hu set three team records at the Northwest Region Senior Sectional Championship Swim Meet in Federal Way March 9 to 13.

The meet featured the 880 fastest swimmers from 11 western states.

The Hus were joined at the meet by NWAC teammates Josh Jepsen, Jacob Jepsen, Laura Rosen and Akasha Trisler.

Price Hu was named NWAC Swimmer of the Meet. In addition to his PRs, he met a Pacific Northwest Swim cut in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.03), finished 27th in the 200 butterfly (1:53.38) and trimmed three seconds off his PR in the 400 individual medley (4:15.71).

Ciara Hu finished 25th in the 200 fly in a team record of 2:04.74. She also set new team marks in the 100 fly (58.56) and 400 IM (4:33.67).

Her 100 fly time was a new Senior Sectional cut, as was Josh Jepsen's time in the 200 fly (1:58.82).

NWAC next competes at the Age Group Sectional Championships March 18 to 20 in Federal Way, where it will field a team of 10 athletes.
