Moving & Grooving’s Island Flyers tumbling and trampoline team competed twice over the past two weekends, bringing home several top finishes at each meet.

March 5, the team traveled to Mount Vernon for the Western Roundup.  Event winners were Lilly Hammitt and Lauren Bayne in Level 5 Trampoline and Level 4 Tumbling, Amaya Rittierodt in Level 6 Trampoline, Lauren Aspery in Level 6 Trampoline and Double Mini and Juliet Aspery in Level 7 Double Mini.

Also, in her first meet competing at Level 6, Hailee Blau took the title in Double Mini.

Last Saturday, the team was on the road again, this time in Kirkland for the Jungle Fun Meet.  It was a clean sweep in Level 4 tumbling, as Hammitt, Bayne and Kelly Gruenwald took the top three spots.

Lauren Aspery won Level 6 Trampoline in the 13-and-over division, and Blau was the champion for the Level 6 Double Mini 11/12-year-old group.

The team’s next competition will be April 16 in Mount Vernon.
