Football: Oak Harbor's Boesch nominated for all-star game

Oak Harbor High School senior Aaron Boesch has been nominated to play in the East-West 4A/3A all-star football game set for July 1 at 7 p.m. at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

Boesch is among 12 Western Conference players nominated for the game; the final selections should be made by the end of March.

Boesch, a 6-5, 210-pound defensive end, is one of only four players from the conference's 3A division to be nominated.

Other Wesco players nominated are Jake Pratt (WR, Monroe), Daniel Sullivan (K, Jackson), Ryan Brown (OL, Edmonds-Woodway), Walker Evans (OL, Jackson), Gunnar Eklund (OL, Lake Stevens), Owen Fritz (OL, Mountlake Terrace), Dexter Charles (OL, Stanwood), Luke Frauenholtz (DL, Everett), Blake Peterson (LB, Arlington), Mitch Haldane (LB, Mountlake Terrace) and Alex Coffman (DB, Mariner).
