The Coupeville High School basketball teams step into the second season Wednesday, Feb. 9, in district tournament, loser-out games.

The boys (8-12) will play at Meridian (10-10) at 7 p.m. The Trojans swamped the Wolves 76-23 in the season opener Dec. 4; however, Coupeville played without starters Hunter Hammer, Tyler King and Dalton Engle.

The Coupeville girls (3-17) face Nooksack Valley (8-11) at 6 p.m. at Mount Vernon High School.

If the Coupeville boys win, they will head to either Orting or Port Townsend Thursday, Feb. 10, for a play-in game to determine the final entry into the tri-district which begins Saturday, Feb. 12.

The winner of the Coupeville girls game advances to tri-district.
