Wrestling: Oak Harbor picks up 3 wins at Anacortes Duals

The Oak Harbor High School wrestling team won three of four matches at the Anacortes Duals Wednesday, Dec. 22.

The three wins pushed the Wildcats’ record to 4-5. Next up for Oak Harbor, after a month on the road, is its first home match of the season when the Wildcats host Shorewood (5:40 p.m.) and Shorecrest (7) in a double dual match Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Jan. 4 is Alumni Night and past Oak Harbor wrestlers are encouraged to attend and will be recognized at the match.

At Anacortes, Oak Harbor opened with a 42-27 win over Sehome.

In round two, Cedarcrest stopped Oak Harbor 51-21.

Then the Wildcats thumped Anacortes, 54-24, and Clover Park, 69-6.

Corey Trimbur, Jahleel Vester and Brandon Stratton each won all four matches.
