Prep schedule changes: Coupeville's boys opener at Meridian among changes

Several changes have been made to the Coupeville and Oak Harbor high school winter athletic schedules.

The Coupeville boys basketball game with Meridian has been moved from Friday, Dec. 2, to Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 p.m. Meridian went deep into the football playoffs and asked for more time to prepare for the basketball game. The girls game at Meridian Dec. 2 at 5:15 will be played as originally scheduled.

The Coupeville boys and girls game with Darrington next Wednesday, Dec. 9, has been cancelled. Because of a clerical error, the Loggers over scheduled and had to eliminate one nonleague game. Coupeville is currently searching for a replacement game.

The Oak Harbor swim meet originally scheduled to take place at Mount Vernon Dec. 9 has been moved to Jan. 5 in Oak Harbor at 6 p.m.
