Coupeville’s Tyler King finished 10th in the annual BorderClash cross country race Sunday, Nov. 21.

The 4,400-meter race is held each year at the Nike World Campus in Beaverton, Ore., and features the top high-school runners from Washington and Oregon.

King helped Washington overwhelm the Oregon runners as Washington grabbed 12 of the top 14 spots and won 16-47.

The Washington girls were nearly as dominate, winning 17-46.

King finished in 5:12 in a race won by Kenji Bierig in 5:05.4.
