Tennis: Oak Harbor loses in season finale

Ben Cardinal picked up a win in first singles, but that was it as visiting Glacier Peak toppled Oak Harbor 6-1 in the season tennis finale Thursday, Oct. 14.
The Grizzlies (11-3) dropped Oak Harbor's final records to 4-10 and 4-12.
Wildcats lost the other singles matches: DeGuzman (6-7(4), 6-4, 11-9), O'Dell (6-1, 5-7, 6-1) and Southard (6-0, 6-1).
Evans/Vagt (6-3,6-1), Berner/Worley (6-4, 6-1) and Sobreo/Serna (7-5, 6-2) lost in doubles.
The district tournament begins Oct. 26 in Mount Vernon.
