Tennis: Everett tops Oak Harbor 5-2

Behind the strength of its doubles play, the Everett boys tennis team dumped host Oak Harbor 5-2 Wednesday, Oct. 6.

The Seagulls (7-4, 8-5) swept all three doubles matches and split the four singles bouts.

Oak Harbor picked up wins from Brandon Vagt (6-3, 6-0) and David DeGuzman (6-3, 6-3) in third and fourth singles.

Ben Cardinal (6-1, 6-0) and Josh Evans (6-4, 6-0) fell in first and second singles.

In doubles play, Max O'Dell/Geoff Worley (6-4, 6-2), Eric Berner/Michael Serna (6-0, 3-6, 6-3) and Ben Harrison/Will Southard (6-1, 6-0) dropped their matches.

Oak Harbor takes on visiting Lynnwood (2-8, 3-9) Thursday, Oct. 7, at 3:45.
