Volleyball: Wildcats take early Wesco 3A lead

Blanking host Glacier Peak 3-0 Thursday, Sept. 30, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team jumped to an early lead in the Wesco 3A standings.

The Wildcats, 2-0 in Wesco, joined Meadowdale at the top as the only undefeated teams in the eight-team league after the first week of conference action.

Oak Harbor (2-0, 5-1) stopped Glacier Peak (1-1, 1-5) 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.

Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley had 26 digs and Kristine Bouchard six blocks to pace the Oak Harbor defense. Jordan Faralan led the offense with 19 assists.

The Wildcats host Everett (1-1, 4-2) Monday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.
