Shorewood took advantage of Oak Harbor miscues to take a 6-0 win over the visiting Wildcat girls soccer team Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The Wildcats came out "flat," according to coach Jeff Laiblin, and the result was an easy win for the Thunderbirds (5-1, 5-3).
Coach Jeff Laiblin said, "We were actually responsible for the direct assist on three of their goals and poor marking led to three more."
He added, "We played poorly and as a result were handled by a quality team."
Another concern besides poor play, Laiblin said, is injuries. Three players are out and three more were injured against Shorewood. Although the team's depth can handle it, the team is "starting to get thin," according to Laiblin.
Oak Harbor (1-6, 2-7) entertains Everett (3-3, 4-3-1) Thursday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
