Rained washed out the Oak Harbor High School boys tennis matches scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

The Everett match, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 15, will be played there Friday, Sept. 17.

The Lynnwood match, slated for Thursday, Sept. 16, is now set for there Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Also, the home match with Meadowdale, Monday, Sept. 20, will now be played on the Mavericks’ courts. That was supposed to be the first home match of the season as the Wildcats wait for the construction on their new courts to be completed; however, the courts will not be finished on time. All of the matches so far have been played on the road.

The hope is that the courts will be finished when the ‘Cats begin the second round of the schedule with Mountlake Terrace Wednesday, Sept. 29. However, the recent rail could further delay construction.

With the rainouts and the switching of Monday’s match to Meadowdale, Oak Harbor now has five road games in five school days starting Friday. The

Oak Harbor goes to Marysville-Pilchuck Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Glacier Peak, Thursday, Sept. 23.
